Weldmesh is a heavy duty and versatile material that can be used in many situations around the garden or allotment. We stock weldmesh on both rolls and as panels for use as you require. It is suitable for use wherever netting or a plastic type mesh isn’t suitable. This could be to cover ponds or as protection against birds.

A very common application for weldmesh is as a bird deterrent. In particular it can be used very effectively to protect solar panels from damage caused by nesting birds. Another use is to block off holes in walls, windows of rooves that are suffering from a bird problem. Weldmesh is also a very good rigid material to use for covering ponds. When fixed correctly it is very difficult to break and will be able to stop people falling into garden water features.

The weldmesh that we sell on the WM James website comes in different gauges and mesh sizes. The smallest mesh sizes measures 6.5mm squared and will protect against all species of bird. The medium mesh size of 12.5mm x 25mm and 25mm x 25mm will protect against most species. The larger size measures 50mm squared and is an effective deterrent against pest species including pigeons and gulls.

If you need any help choosing the right size or gauge of weldmesh for the job please do get in touch. We can advise you on the best option based on our 60+ years of experience in the industry. Our new catalogue is also available now and can be requested by submitting a form online.
