Classic Steel Fruit & Vegetable Cages:
William James Classic Steel Cages are strong, sturdy and very simple to put up - in fact, the only tools you will require are a screwdriver and a pair of sharp scissors!. The tried and tested design provides a stable framework to protect your valuable plants.
The 2m high walk in fruit and vegetable cage is supplied with high quality 20mm OD steel uprights and top rails and steel ground plates to provide extra stability, all powder coated green for an attractive, hard wearing finish. Our mushroom cap jointing system makes them extremely easy to install - even on rough or uneven ground.
The 2m high cage includes a 1m wide door as standard, giving easy wheelbarrow access. Door position is to be specified at store checkout stage. Extra doors can also be ordered if required (see related products below).
Separate side and roof netting and all necessary fixtures and fittings complete the package. The side net is a rigid black extruded 18mm square mesh which attaches neatly to the frame with releasable cable ties to give a smart and tidy finish. For the top net we use strong black polythene knotted netting with a 20mm square mesh. It is tailored to the size of your cage with ample overhang to attach to the side netting using the ‘S’ hooks supplied.
The Classic Steel Cages can also be supplied with other types of netting from our extensive range (see related products below for details) to provide excellent protection from a wide variety of pests.

Snow Warning:
Please note that we recommend removing the top net if snow is forecast, as this can build up on the roof and cause damage to the cage. If a top net is still required during this time we would suggest purchasing one with a larger mesh size (100mm).
